Christmas can be a painful time for some. It may be the first Christmas without loved family members who have recently died. It may be a time that has always been difficult. For those reasons Wellesley Mennonite Church and St. Mark’s Lutheran Church are offering a community “Longest Night, Blue Christmas Service” on Saturday December 21st at 7:00 p.m. at Wellesley Mennonite Church, 157 David St. in Wellesley. Everyone is welcome.
Advent Journey Marketplace – Take a look back to the time when Christ was born. Experience the sights, smells and drama as your journey unfolds. At Listowel Mennonite Church. Fathers & Kids Retreat: January 17-19, 2014 at Silver Lake Mennonite Camp: Skating on the lake, building snowmen and igloos in the field, following animal tracks through the woods, roasting smores over the campfire, playing board games by the fire in the dining hall and just being at camp is loads of fun, but the best part is doing it with dad! The leadership committee has approved the purchase of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to have available at our church. An AED can greatly increase the likelihood of survival if someone would suffer cardiac arrest. The cost of this deivce is approximately $2000. The funds to purchase the AED will be coming out of the operating account. If you would like to help in the purchase of the AED you can designate your offering to the operating account or write AED on the envelope.
The ESL program at Poole Church. “Several of your church members have been helping with the Low German ESL program at Poole Church, in many various roles. Each is an important role for the program to operate. I want to thank the various individuals for their support and time invested.
