LOOKING AHEAD…

  • Easter Choir – You are invited to be part of a powerful area-wide choir presentation of the Easter message, “Two Crowns”. Rehearsals will be held at Maple View Mennonite Church on Mondays March 3, 10, 17, 24, 31, April 7, and 14; Sundays March 23 and April 13.  All rehearsals are at 7:30 pm. Two performances are scheduled for Good Friday, April 18 and Easter Sunday, April 20, both at 7:30 pm with a possibility of a third performance. Directed by Tania Leis, 519-595-7700.
  • COMFORTER ‘BLITZ’ – Tuesday March 11, all day! Come and join us as we knot comforters for MCC. Stay awhile or drop in for a short time; many handsI can make a BIG difference!.

Program meets weekly, but if you can only volunteer every other week, every bit of time helps. Program starts on Thurs. Feb. 20. Please consider giving of your time for this valuable program to continue. We also ask for your continued prayers in support of the exciting growth and experiences that take happen every week. February is Gospel Echoes Read-a-Thon Month. Today your children are bringing home a letter explaining the event. Stapled to the back of the letter is a parent consent form.  If you wish for your child(ren) to participate, please sign it and return to Jr. Sunday School Superintendents by next Sunday, January 19.    The money raised will be used to provide Bible Study courses for men and women in prison. $1 raised- one Bible Study book, $25 raised – eight Bible study books and an Award Bible.

The leadership committee has approved the purchase of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to have available at our church.  An AED can greatly increase the likelihood of survival if someone would suffer cardiac arrest.  The cost of this deivce is approximately $2000.  The funds to purchase the AED will be coming out of the operating account.  If you would like to help in the purchase of the AED you can designate your offering to the operating account or write AED on the envelope.
