THIS WEEK…

  • This Evening Service, February 16, 7:30pm. Brian & Cindy Jantzi and their family will be sharing about their mission trip to Haiti!
  • Midweek Events:
    • Kids Club– Wednesday, 7-8:30p.m.

    • MYF – Wednesday, at 7:30p.m.
    • Adult Bible studies:Wednesday,7:15 pm 1)The Gospel of John and 2)  LifeKeys: a biblically grounded study designed to help uncover your unique blend of talents, spiritual gifts, passions, values and personality—all that God made you to be.
  • Ladies Morning Ministry: The former Moms Group will be opening up to include any ladies on the third Wednesday of each month. We meet in the gym at 10am, bring a small snack to share and kids are welcome! Our next meeting is February 19: BE STILL. In Be Still, we will explore the pressures, perceptions, and expectations that women face and inspire each other to let go of these lies that keep them busy doing things and encourages them to enjoy being at the feet of Jesus.   • Maple View Music:
    • Praise Team Practice–Thursday, February 20 at 7:30pm in the sanctuary. All current and aspiring praise team members are strongly encouraged to attend the practice for some time of prayer, education and practice! All musicians are welcome – bass guitarists, drummers and more!
    • Easter Choir – keep an eye out for the sign up information for the Easter Choir, practices will begin March 3rd!
    • Offering & Special Music – If you would like to volunteer for offering or special music, please contact Cindy Jantzi
  • Worship Committee Meeting – Thursday, February 20 at 7:30p.m. at the church. Reminder to new members to come.
  • Jr. Youth – Friday February 21 ,7:30. Movie night at church. Please bring munchies and pop to share. Pick up at 10:00. No Jr. youth Bible study on February 19
  • Did you miss the LOVE & RESPECT conference?  Join us for a FREE viewing of the Love & Respect DVDs on Feb. 22 at 9am in the sanctuary. This is for Maple View Church only and will be a full day (9-5) with a brown bag lunch at 12:30. No need to sign up – just come!

LOOKING AHEAD…

  • Girls Club – Monday, February 24, 7:00 pm: Tobogganing night! Meet at the hill by the dam in Wellesley. After tobogganing we will walk to Joanna and Sarah Kipfer’s house for a snack. Pick up at 8:30 at the Kipfer’s. Bring sleds and friends!

COMMUNITY EVENTS

  • Tues. Feb. 18, 7:00 p.m.  Listowel Mennonite Church is hosting – Fashion for Freedom! An evening of fun and fashion with clothing and accessories made by women rescued from sex trafficking. Engage your passion for art, fashion, style and hospitality. Bring some friends, send the word out and support this worthwhile, and fun, project.
  • Rockway Mennonite Collegiate hosts Annual Fund Raising Dinner Thursday February 20 at 6:30 pm featuring student performers and a delicious meal. Tickets are $80 and include a $55 dollar tax receipt. To support the school and to reserve tickets contact Jackie Fackoury at 519-342-0007, ext. 3012 on or before February 14.

  • March Open House at Conrad Grebel University College Saturday, March 1, 9am-4pm Students! Are you interested in the University of Waterloo?   • Saturday, March 1 –  Hidden Acres Camp Annual Bowlathon.  If you are interested in sponsoring talk to Brad.
  • Silver Lake Mennonite Camp – Registration is now open for SUMMER 2014 with programming available for campers ages 6-16 including Mini Camp (3 days, 2 nights) and Family Camp Weekend -both are perfect for first time campers.  Space is limited so be sure to register early.
