  • Today – Family Life Event:  Potluck and Tobogganing.  Please bring first course & dessert to share at 12:30 p.m.  Tobogganing to follow (weather permitting or if there is no snow, bring board games).  Please bring your own dishes, drinks provided.
  • Sunday Evening – Tonight, 7:30pm. Praise Celebration with We The Free! Come out for an upbeat, inspiring evening of worship!

  • Wednesday, January 30, 7:15 pm – A new adult Bible study begins: Boundaries, a nine-week study designed to help participants learn the secrets and cultivate the habit of setting and maintaining healthy boundaries, the framework of rich, productive relationships.  Please sign up in the foyer to order a participant guide ($13).
  • MYF Bible Study – Wednesday night, 7:30pm at the church.  We will be looking at Mark 3:13 – 4:34.
  • Annual Church Meeting – Saturday, 1:00 pm. @ Maple View Church.
  • MYF Table Social: Saturday, February 2, 7:30 at the church. Guys are cooking, girls are bidding.

  • Men’s Accountability Group: we will meet again on Monday, February 4th at 7:30 pm in the Maple Room.

  • MYF Snowboard/Ski Trip: on Saturday, February 9 at Blue Mountain from 12:30-10:00pm. More details to come. Sign up in the youth room.

  • Sunday, February 10, 7:00pm, First Mennonite Church, Kitchener (800 King St N.).  Menno Singers Hymn Sing – Songs of Longing and Hope”. Join song leader Mark Diller Harder, pianist Charlene Nafziger and Menno Singers for an evening of spirited hymn singing. This hymn sing also begins the celebration of First Mennonite’s 200th anniversary year. Suggested Donation: $10 – adult; $25 – family.
  • Family Day Open House at Hidden Acres Mennonite CampFeb. 18, 2013 from 10am-3:30pm – a fun, relaxing and FREE day with your family. Come enjoy many indoor and outdoor activities including sledding, skating, pretzel-making, crafts, floor hockey, a campfire and much more! Please bring your own outdoor equipment. Some activities are weather dependent. Light lunch provided at 12:00pm. Donations towards helping children come to camp are appreciated.   • Sunday, February 3 – There will be an opportunity for prayer ministry during the worship service for anyone seeking healing (for body, wounds of the heart, relationships or spiritual healing).
  • Marriage Milestones:  On Sunday February 17th Maple View will celebrate marriage by recognizing marriage milestones. Please let Diane (church secretary) know if you are celebrating your 1st, 10th, 20th, 25th, 30th, 40th, 50th, 60th,+    anniversary in 2013.
  • February is Gospel Echoes Team’s Read a Thon Month. ~If you don’t have children in that age group, you can still help.   Be a sponsor! The money raised will be used to provide Bible Study courses for men and women in prison.
  • The Trustees will be accepting tenders for Custodian and lawn mowing until January 27, 2013. Job description is available from Nelson Kuepfer or Roger Nafziger.

  • February is Gospel Echoes Team’s Read a Thon Month. Today your child will have received a letter explaining the read a thon and stapled to the back of the letter is a parent consent form. If you wish for your child(ren) to participate, please sign it and return it to Jr. Sunday School Superintendents or Sue Lebold by January 20. ~If you don’t have children in that age group, you can still help. Be a sponsor! The money raised will be used to provide Bible Study courses for men and women in prison.
  • Annual committee reports for 2012 are due. A memo has been sent to individuals who are to submit a committee report for the annual meeting.  Please have your report to LeeAnne Gerber (leeannegerber@hotmail.com or church mailbox) by January 20, 2013.

Our goal is to provide positive opportunities for young people to express their creativity, meet new friends and develop a range of skills. We come together as a community of faith, fun and great music-making.  Winter rehearsals begin Wed. Jan. 9, 6:45-8:45pm, at Stirling Ave. Mennonite Church in Kitchener. New choristers are welcome on Jan. 9, Jan. 16 and Jan. 30. Please note that there will not be a rehearsal on Jan. 23. Come and check us out! Questions?   • Blankets Needed!  On January 8, 2013, MCC Ontario will be loading and shipping a container destined for Lebanon.  We are in need of approximately 120 blankets to finish filling the container. If you have any completed blankets, please deliver them to the Material Resources Centre or your local MCC office prior to January 2, 2013. Thank you!
